Bay West, Inc. Earns a Spot on the MSP Business Journal’s Fast 50 List

SAINT PAUL, Minn. (October 13, 2010) — Bay West, Inc., an environmental and industrial services company, won a coveted spot on the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s Fast 50 List, which was announced last week. In order to be considered for this honor, companies must be able to show rapid revenue growth from 2008 to 2010. Bay West services both commercial and federal markets providing consulting, emergency response, military munitions response, industrial cleaning, and waste management.

Co-owners Gene Kuppenbender, Lon Larson, and Ed Bacig credit successes to a few key items: focusing on the company’s core values, supporting a “Best Place to Work” culture for employees, and building and maintaining customer relationships. This model is definitely working for them. The past three years have brought a 41.8 percent growth rate and $26.3 million in revenues for 2010. In just the past few months alone, the firm has also been awarded more than $70 million in task orders under existing government contracts.
