Green Procedures, Initiatives & Education
A vast number of sustainability and waste reduction initiatives have already been implemented at our facility to reduce environmental impacts. We continue to seek out and institute additional hazardous waste reduction and energy-saving programs as part of relevant project site actions and an overall strategic business plan that reinforces Bay West’s environmental and sustainability values. We are a member of Minnesota Waste Wise and keep up-to-date on environmentally sustainable business practices.
A huge part of living this culture also includes educating other personnel involved with our site work as to how they can positively contribute to the overall sustainability effort.

Green Investigation & Remediation
Green investigation and remediation is the practice of applying technologies and approaches that enhance a cleanup project’s environmental footprints. It is a holistic approach that, over a broad scope and timeline, incorporates sustainability concepts and life-cycle cost thinking.
Bay West utilizes a set of best management practices developed from our project experience as well as current EPA and state guidances for green investigation and remediation.
