Dr. Ramaswami Expands Bay West’s US EPA Program and Management Capabilities.

Bay West LLC, an environmental consulting and industrial services company headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, has brought on Dr. Ram D. Ramaswami, Ph.D., P.E., BCEE, to manage Bay West’s US EPA program. Ram comes to Bay West with 40 years of experience in the environmental engineering field and degrees in chemical, biochemical, environmental, and civil engineering.

In addition to his technical background in environmental investigation and remediation, he has extensive experience managing federal programs, most recently US EPA contracts.  “Bay West is very pleased to have a professional with Ram’s experience join Bay West and take the lead on our EPA Programs,” said Vice President of Federal Programs, Marty Wangensteen.  “His credentials and knowledge of the EPA and its customers will cultivate growth in our Federal Program.”

Ram will take on the management of Bay West’s current EPA Small Business IDIQ contracts (Environmental Services and Operations [ESO] and Remediation Environmental Services [RES]), which are part of the EPA’s overall Remedial Acquisition Framework (RAF) strategy.  Bay West’s four contracts (2 ESO, 2 RES) cover Regions 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10.  Ram will oversee task order proposals and management, and will implement strategies to build the program.  “Bay West has a solid reputation in the environmental industry and I am excited to join the team.  I am committed to bringing the Bay West Way of Being* to bear in all my interactions with clients and the EPA in particular, and to advance the EPA’s mission of protecting human health and the environment.”
