The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District recently awarded Bay West LLC and its Joint Venture partner, Sovereign Consulting Inc., with a MEGA Small Business Pre-Placed Remedial Action Contract (PRAC). The 5-year contract has a capacity of $176M and will be utilized to support the Northwestern Division and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 2. This opportunity allows Bay West to expand its environmental remediation services within EPA Region 2.
The Bay West-Sovereign JV will support multiple task orders related to hazardous, toxic and radioactive waste remediation projects for both civilian and military agencies of the Federal Government. The PRAC addresses environmental response actions and associated investigation, design, and removal activities mandated by various federal and DoD cleanup programs, including Superfund, Base Realignment and Closure, Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program, and Defense Environmental Restoration Program.
