OSHA Outreach Training – Construction

Taught by OSHA-authorized instructors, this course is designed for anyone in the construction industry who needs to take their knowledge of construction safety to the next level.

Course description: This course is intended to teach workers their rights and responsibilities under CFR 1926 OSHA regulations, the steps involved in OSHA complaints and inspections, as well as how to prevent and abate safety hazards on the job site.

Topics include:

  • Fall protection
  • Electrical safety
  • Struck-by and caught-between hazards
  • Personal protective equipment and lifesaving equipment
  • Health hazards in construction
  • Stairways and ladders
  • Excavation safety
  • Fire protection and prevention
  • Heavy equipment safety

and more.

Day 1 will go from 9am-5pm. Lunch and refreshments are included.

Day 2 will go from 9am-12pm. Lunch and refreshments are not included on this short day.

Upon successfully finishing the course, attendees will receive a course completion card.

Course description: This course is intended to teach supervisors and managers their rights and responsibilities under CFR 1926 OSHA regulations, the steps involved in OSHA complaints and inspections, as well as how to prevent and abate safety hazards on the job site.

30-hour courses cover the same topics provided in the smaller 10-hour courses, but at a much greater breadth and depth of sharing, including:

  • Fall protection
  • Electrical safety
  • Struck-by and caught-between hazards
  • Personal protective equipment and lifesaving equipment
  • Health hazards in construction
  • Stairways and ladders
  • Excavation safety
  • Fire protection and prevention
  • Heavy equipment safety

30-hour courses expand on the 10-Hr courses by also covering:

  • Safety and health programs
  • Walking / working surfaces
  • Ergonomics
  • Confined space
  • Air monitoring equipment
  • Respiratory protection

and more.

Days 1 through 3 will go for 8 hours, 9am-5pm.

Day 4 will go for 6 hours, 9am-3pm.
