The primary purpose of a Geologist I/Environmental Scientist 1, is to safely and accurately collect field information that will help Bay West decide how to best protect the public and the environment from this contamination.  Many of Bay West’s clients are responsible for soil and groundwater contamination.

This Environmental Engineer II position will provide technical expertise to support project managers on environmental investigation and remediation projects for Bay West’s various Federal, State, and Private sector clients.  Typical projects include sites contaminated with petroleum, chlorinated solvents, metals, and residual munitions constituents.  Remedies implemented by Bay West include vapor mitigation using sub-slab mitigation, in-situ bio stimulation, in situ chemical oxidation, soil vapor extraction, air sparging, multi-phase recovery, excavation, and groundwater extraction/treatment.

Environmental Scientist II (1178)

Bay West is seeking to grow our Department of Transportation (DOT) environmental consulting services by adding an experienced Environmental Scientist II for midlevel field support. Bay West is qualified to perform environmental services for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and Wisconsin Department of transportation (WISDOT). Bay West is interested in expanding our experience and technical knowledge to enable us to win large-scale DOT due diligence and construction monitoring projects. This position will assist in executing individual and large-scale field projects such as MnDOT corridor due diligence (Phase I and II environmental site assessments) and construction monitoring projects, while also providing ample opportunity to gain field experience on other investigation and remediation projects for our state and federal clients.

The primary purpose of a Transportation & Disposal Technician is to safely and accurately inventory, package, and transport hazardous, non-hazardous and universal wastes according to DOT, EPA and State rules and regulations.

Industrial Hygienist

As an Industrial Hygienist II, you will serve as a field team leader that supports and conducts industrial hygiene assessments/surveys at shops and other maintenance facilities at federal facilities around the country by detecting health hazards, including those caused by airborne contaminants, toxic substances, and harmful physical agents, by observing and analyzing work operations and processes, materials, equipment, work habits of facility occupants, and interviewing facility occupants. Additionally, you will be responsible for measuring the magnitude of exposure to workers of all environmental hazards by executing standard tests, such as collecting and analyzing chemical samples, taking noise measurements, and comparing findings to established occupational health and safety standards.

Asbestos Project Coordinator (1195)

Due to the growth of Bay West, we are seeking an Asbestos Project Coordinator who will assist on various activities on commercial projects for private sector, state, county, and municipal clients, as well as state funded contaminated sites for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), Wisconsin DOT and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR). In this position you will report to Bay West’s St. Paul office but will allow flexible home office reporting (needs to be in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area) when work task appropriate.

The Geologist III manages local projects and provide detailed support on large-scale projects.   This may involve preparing reports and proposals, managing field and laboratory data, coordinating and directing support staff, communicating with clients and prospective clients, and managing project fiscal responsibilities.  Special consulting to provide expertise in tank leak detection research and evaluation of state-of-the-art technologies that may be applied to Hanford single shell tanks.

The primary purpose of this Environmental Technician I is to assist primarily with the Household Hazardous Waste and BioWatch programs along with additional support for Emergency Response and other various activities out of our St. Paul location. You will work alongside some of the industry’s best and brightest with one common goal: quality results in a quality work environment. Our people accomplish this all while providing environmental solutions to a wide variety of clients. This role has a minimum starting wage of $20 per hour.

Be ready to begin on time for all meetings, phone calls, and appointments.
Email an agenda to participants at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of any meeting that covers multiple topics or that would be best run using an agenda.
