The primary purpose of this position is to protect the public and the environment. This position will primarily support environmental projects and project managers for projects in California, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado for a variety of federal customers.   The Successful candidate is not requested to relocate and may work from home or an existing Bay West office, if desired.

Bay West is seeking to grow our Department of Transportation (DOT) environmental consulting services by adding an experienced Environmental Scientist II for midlevel field support. Bay West is qualified to perform environmental services for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and Wisconsin Department of transportation (WISDOT). Bay West is interested in expanding our experience and technical knowledge to enable us to win large-scale DOT due diligence and construction monitoring projects. This position will assist in executing individual and large-scale field projects such as MnDOT corridor due diligence (Phase I and II environmental site assessments) and construction monitoring projects, while also providing ample opportunity to gain field experience on other investigation and remediation projects for our state and federal clients.

Bay West is interested in expanding our experience and technical knowledge to enable us to win large-scale DOT due diligence and construction monitoring projects. This position will support in executing individual and large-scale MnDOT corridor due diligence (Phase I and II environmental site assessments) and construction monitoring projects by assisting in reporting, coordination, and communication, primarily in an office setting, while also assisting in project support on MPCA and other commercial projects.

Industrial Hygienist

As an Industrial Hygienist II, you will serve as a field team leader that supports and conducts industrial hygiene assessments/surveys at shops and other maintenance facilities at federal facilities around the country by detecting health hazards, including those caused by airborne contaminants, toxic substances, and harmful physical agents, by observing and analyzing work operations and processes, materials, equipment, work habits of facility occupants, and interviewing facility occupants. Additionally, you will be responsible for measuring the magnitude of exposure to workers of all environmental hazards by executing standard tests, such as collecting and analyzing chemical samples, taking noise measurements, and comparing findings to established occupational health and safety standards.

Due to growth at Bay West in our commercial environmental consulting services, we are seeking an Business Development Manager for our Duluth Office. This position will primarily work to build business relationships and generate new customers and accounts. This position will also manage projects such as contaminated properties in Minnesota and Wisconsin including environmental due diligence sites (Phase I and II environmental site assessments), brownfield redevelopment sites, and investigations and cleanups for commercial and public sector clients.

Be ready to begin on time for all meetings, phone calls, and appointments.
Email an agenda to participants at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of any meeting that covers multiple topics or that would be best run using an agenda.
