The Contracts Specialist III reports to the Senior Contracts Manager and will provide contract, subcontract, procurement, and operational support to both the Federal Program and Commercial Program, with a high level of interaction with the Manager of FP&AR. Project Accountant II (1156)

 The Project Accountant reports to the Finance Manager and is responsible for analyzing and supporting the success of our Environmental Remediation projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, and ensuring that project billings are issued to customers and payments are collected.   The Project Accountant will work collaboratively to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis and assistance to project teams and management.

Industrial Hygienist II (1152)

As an Industrial Hygienist II, you will serve as a field team leader that supports and conducts industrial hygiene assessments/surveys at shops and other maintenance facilities at federal facilities around the country by detecting health hazards, including those caused by airborne contaminants, toxic substances, and harmful physical agents, by observing and analyzing work operations and processes, materials, equipment, work habits of facility occupants, and interviewing facility occupants. Additionally, you will be responsible for measuring the magnitude of exposure to workers of all environmental hazards by executing standard tests, such as collecting and analyzing chemical samples, taking noise measurements, and comparing findings to established occupational health and safety standards.

Environmental Scientist II – Consulting (1151)

 Due to the growth of Bay West, we are seeking an Environmental Scientist II who will assist on various activities on commercial projects for private sector, state, county, and municipal clients, as well as state funded contaminated sites for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), Wisconsin DOT and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR). In this position you will report to Bay West’s St. Paul office but will allow flexible home office reporting (needs to be in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area) when work task appropriate.

This Environmental Engineer I+ position will provide technical expertise to support project managers on environmental investigation and remediation projects for Bay West’s various Federal clients.  Typical projects include sites contaminated with petroleum, chlorinated solvents, metals, and residual munitions constituents.  Remedies implemented by Bay West include vapor mitigation using sub-slab mitigation, in-situ bio stimulation, in situ chemical oxidation, soil vapor extraction, air sparging, multi-phase recovery, excavation, and groundwater extraction/treatment.

Due to growth at Bay West in our commercial environmental consulting services, we are seeking an Environmental Project Manager. This position will primarily manage projects at contaminated properties in Minnesota and Wisconsin including environmental due diligence sites (Phase I and II environmental site assessments), brownfield redevelopment sites, and investigations and cleanups for commercial and public sector clients. Other projects may involve petroleum limited site investigations, regulated materials assessments, or other environmental projects.

Environmental Geologist or Engineer Intern (1141)

Bay West is seeking an Environmental Geologist or Engineer Intern to work on a projects related to the evaluation and remediation of a contaminated sites. The primary project assigned to this individual is operation and maintenance of a contaminated groundwater pump and treat system located on the University of Minnesota West Bank. Assignments will include working as an individual and as part of a project team to assist with tasks and projects.   Additional projects are available to work on depending on applicants’ availability.

Join us as a Transportation and Disposal (T&D) Technician! This position pays a minimum starting hourly wage of $24 - $28 (paid weekly and overtime applicable) based on experience. You will provide technical expertise to support project managers on environmental investigation and remediation projects for Bay West’s various Federal, State, and Private sector clients.  Typical projects include sites contaminated with petroleum, chlorinated solvents, metals, and residual munitions constituents.  Remedies implemented by Bay West include vapor mitigation using sub-slab mitigation, in-situ bio stimulation, in situ chemical oxidation, soil vapor extraction, air sparging, multi-phase recovery, excavation, and groundwater extraction/treatment. Additionally, you’ll be part of our Emergency Response team (additional compensation applicable).

Operations Lead - Environmental Scientist Sr (1131)

The Operations Lead coordinates and when necessary, leads borehole geophysical logging operations at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, Department of Energy environmental remediation site. Maintain consistent and professional communication with customer representatives to prioritize work plans, and coordinate staff activities to achieve timely and safe completion of logging operations. Responsible for coordinating with client support organizations for logging truck maintenance, including radiation control, safety and health, and industrial hygiene in support of logging. Additional responsibilities include conducting geophysical logging, data analysis, reporting, bid estimates, and technical review of reports and engineering designs.

Our Site Supervisor will provide direct supervisory, technical, and administrative support for Bay West's Industrial Services (IS) Line of Business.  The position requires the ability to travel to primarily in-state project sites, occasionally on short notice. This role has a minimum starting pay rate of $29 an hour!

Bay West is seeking to grow our Department of Transportation (DOT) environmental consulting services by adding an Environmental Scientist to our team. Bay West is qualified to perform environmental services for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and Wisconsin Department of transportation (WISDOT). Bay West is interested in expanding our experience and technical knowledge to enable us to win large-scale DOT due diligence and construction monitoring projects. This position will assist in executing individual and large-scale MnDOT corridor due diligence (Phase I and II environmental site assessments) and construction monitoring projects.
