All eyes are currently on the states of Michigan and Minnesota, where Federal and State regulators are blazing the trail for other regulators with their efforts to remediate challenging emerging contaminant sites. Bay West is their selected partner as they navigate an uncertain path and continue to install practical solutions and the path forward.
Trusted by regulators to build practical solutions and create the path forward.
The City of Duluth retained Bay West to complete Limited Area-Wide Brownfield Inventories (AWBIs) in three select areas of the St. Louis River Corridor. These consisted of the following (collectively, the Study Areas): Gary-New Duluth, the Western Port Area Neighborhood (WPAN), and Lincoln Park/Rice’s Point.
The property known as the Jay Street Gas Holder is currently owned by the City of Duluth, which plans to redevelop the property for residential uses.
“The Bay West team jumped into this project and obtained the approvals we needed from the MPCA in a manner that was protective for the client. It was invaluable for this project on the knowledge that the Bay West team had on how the MPCA would approach this property. Great job and very enjoyable to work with!”
