Kari Solem joins Bay West as new Senior Director of Human Resources

Bay West announces the hiring of Kari Solem as new Senior Director of Human Resources.

Bay West LLC, an environmental consulting and industrial services company headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, is pleased to announce the hiring of Kari Solem as Senior Director of Human Resources. In this position Kari will lead all aspects of Human Resources including recruiting, employee retention, benefits management, and performance management.

Kari brings over 20 years of Human Resources experience to Bay West from private, public, and nonprofit sectors. Working  most of her career for engineering and science companies, she has direct experience on the environmental side from working at Brown and Caldwell and her previous time serving on the board of Eureka recycling. Kari has a BA in Human Services from Metropolitan State University and an MA in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota. She also holds a SPHR from the Society of Human Resources.

Kari lives in Saint Paul with her husband Andy and their two daughters in their 130-year-old house. Kari said, “When we are not running our daughters to Circus Jueventas, swimming and tennis lessons, our family loves to enjoy riding bikes and going MNUFC games – Go Loons!”
