Engineering and Environmental Teaming

WSB and Bay West

Bay West recognizes the importance of teaming with like-minded, customer-focused companies (including Small Disadvantaged Businesses) in the execution of our work. We frequently team with engineering firms, both locally and on a national scale, that provide services we do not self-perform and/or that provide additional resources to develop cost-competitive, value-based solutions for our customers. Over the last ten years, we have used this approach to incorporate more than $120M of team member or subcontractor participation.

Site development was planned for a site contaminated with PAHs, metals, VOCs and asbestos-containing materials. WSB, an engineering firm, was hired to design the final development and manage contaminated materials (ACM) during development in accordance with a Response Action Plan (RAP) prepared by a previous consultant. Bay West teamed with WSB to provide field oversight during site excavation. Bay West provided a licensed asbestos inspector to conduct oversight of the earthwork during development, look for evidence of additional contamination such as solid waste, staining or odors, screen for organic vapors, and help direct soil placement in accordance with the approved RAP. Bay West also helped sample, segregate and cover potential ACM, when encountered. Frequent and thorough communication between Bay West and WSB led to a successful project.
